Ground Engineering Flight Ramp Team Mechanical Fitter
The mechanical fitter is responsible for maintaining the operational readiness of airfield support equipment at Royal Air Force Waddington. The person in this role conducts scheduled maintenance, equipment inspections, and first-line repairs to ensure assets remain safe and available for flying operations. Daily tasks include recording maintenance activities, managing vehicle fleets, and working closely with flight line controllers and multidisciplinary teams. This position is vital for supporting station operations while upholding high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications
- Recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC/OND in Engineering
- UK military trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- IOSH Working Safely or equivalent
- Driving licence suitable for operating fleet vehicles
