Mechanical Transport Fitter Chargehand
You will supervise and coordinate maintenance, inspection, and repair activities within the vehicle maintenance bay at RAF Waddington. Your day involves overseeing military and civilian vehicle fitters, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering regulations, and managing tool control and workshop housekeeping. You will act as a key liaison between engineering staff, contractors, and station stakeholders to maintain vehicle availability. The role requires keeping accurate maintenance records and prioritizing repairs to support operational requirements.

- Experience supervising technical staff within a workshop environment

- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fault rectification principles

Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Vehicle Maintenance
- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience
- IRTEC or equivalent vehicle engineering accreditation
- IOSH Managing Safely
