Head of Chemical Security and Resilience
This role leads the security and resilience of the United Kingdom's most hazardous chemical sites, driving national security agendas in collaboration with industry. The successful candidate will set strategic direction, manage physical, personnel and cyber security priorities, and oversee improvement programmes while holding relationships with site operators. Daily responsibilities include chairing sector governance groups, managing chemical-related risk registers, and leading a small team of two while participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota. Working closely with government partners and national technical authorities, the postholder will strengthen regulatory frameworks and ensure emergency response plans are ready.

Nationality requirements
Open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth citizens, EU/EEA/Swiss nationals with EUSS status, and Turkish nationals under the Ankara Agreement.
Selection process
