Head of Human Centred AI
The Head of Human Centred AI leads a high-impact programme to ensure artificial intelligence is developed and deployed responsibly, effectively, and at scale across the Department for Transport. The role involves designing and managing social, behavioural, and user research projects alongside evaluation programmes to shape AI portfolios and inform decision-making. You will work closely with data science teams, human resources, senior stakeholders, and external partners to drive organisational readiness and champion user-centric standards. Ultimately, the position grounds departmental AI decisions in robust evidence about people, behaviour, and change.

Selection process
Sift takes place on 03rd November 2026. Interviews will take place from 16th November 2026 via Microsoft Teams and will include a presentation.
