Head of Policy & Secretariat
The Head of Policy and Secretariat serves as the primary policy and civilian adviser interface between the Army, Ministers, and senior military headquarters. The role involves leading a large secretariat team to handle high-volume parliamentary questions, ministerial correspondence, and freedom of information requests under strict deadlines. The post holder provides evidence-based policy advice, counsel, and challenge to senior leaders and sits on major executive boards. Additionally, the role manages resources, oversees functional leadership across the Army, and ensures correspondence meets government and departmental targets.
