HMP Nottingham - Non Vocational Instructor - Waste Management & Recycling
The job holder supervises and escorts prisoners in waste management and recycling environments within a prison establishment to ensure safe and effective waste collection and disposal. They manage workshop areas, maintain tool and equipment security, and provide tailored support and training to help prisoners develop skills and work towards targets. Working closely with prisoners and other staff, the role contributes to sentence planning, reducing reoffending, and maintaining high standards of security, good order, and hygiene. Additionally, they handle administrative duties such as recording waste data, managing resources, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
