Lead Developer
You will provide technical leadership to support the delivery of secure, scalable and user-centred digital services at the Planning Inspectorate. Working in a multidisciplinary environment with a range of stakeholders, you will help shape technical solutions, promote modern software engineering practices, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Alongside leading technical delivery, you will coach and support team members, contribute to planning activities, and help foster an inclusive culture. The role involves maintaining technical standards and driving continuous improvement to deliver successful outcomes for users and the organisation.

- Experience of building scalable, secure web applications
- Applying agile development, CI/CD, TDD and version control
- Experience of developing and working with RESTful APIs
- Experience of leading and mentoring development teams
- Experience of balancing priorities and resolving software faults
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Ireland, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with the relevant right to work or EUSS status. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Selection process
