Maritime Advisor
The Maritime Advisor assesses new marine data to maintain Sailing Directions volumes, ensuring essential information supports port entry and coastal navigation. They collaborate with colleagues to provide navigational expertise, share the mariner's perspective on product development, and help shape digital publications. Working within the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office team, the role involves active engagement with internal and external customers to provide accurate maritime advice. Successful candidates will undergo a structured development programme to reach fully competent advisor status.

Qualifications
- Officer of the Watch CoC (Unlimited) or Navy Equivalent (Minimum)
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, British Commonwealth, and European Economic Area nationals. Due to secure work, dual nationals or non-citizens are assessed case-by-case.
Selection process
Shortlisting begins week commencing 02/11/2026. Virtual technical tests occur on 09/11/2026 and 10/11/2026, followed by Microsoft Teams interviews the week of 16/11/2026.
