Naval Overseer - Electrical Lead
You will act as a senior representative for the Ministry of Defence, providing technical oversight of ship construction and trials in a dynamic shipyard environment. Working alongside industry partners, you will identify and resolve issues early, ensure quality standards are met, and support acceptance activities including sea trials. You will collaborate with colleagues across government and industry to manage delivery risks and ensure contractual requirements are fulfilled. The role offers hands-on engineering experience and the chance to contribute directly to the Royal Navy's future frontline fleet.
What they're looking for
- Experience in maritime projects or ship construction and maintenance
- Experience providing technical advice for low voltage electrical systems
- Ability to satisfy requirements for an ENG1 seafarer medical certificate
Qualifications
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Incorporated Marine Engineer (IMarEng) registration
- Equivalent professional registration recognised by a licensed Professional Engineering Institution
