Naval Overseer - Naval Architecture/Marine Structures
As a Naval Overseer specialising in naval architecture or marine structures, you will provide professional engineering oversight and guidance during ship construction and trials. You will work closely with contractors, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to ensure that ship building activities meet strict technical, quality, and contractual standards. Your day involves inspecting build progress, identifying and resolving defects, and participating in key tests and readiness events to support the Royal Navy's global operations.
What they're looking for
- Experience providing technical advice and leading naval architecture outcomes
- Professionally registered as IEng or IMarEng, or have equivalent experience
- Strong technical competence in supportable technical solutions
- Ability to make effective decisions and deliver at pace
Qualifications
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or equivalent experience
- Incorporated Marine Engineering (IMarEng) or equivalent experience
