Philanthropy Officer
The Philanthropy Officer supports income generation and strengthens visibility within the philanthropic community for The National Archives. Day to day, this involves managing a donor portfolio, developing funding proposals, and coordinating engagement activities with colleagues and external partners. The role helps secure charitable funding for priority projects, exhibitions, and conservation programmes while maintaining accurate database records. Working closely with the Philanthropy team and The National Archives Trust, the postholder contributes to ambitious fundraising growth goals.

- Graduate-level education or equivalent experience
- Fundraising experience with trusts, foundations or individuals
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, liaison and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth, and eligible EU/EEA/Swiss/Turkish nationals with relevant settled status or right to work.
Selection process
