PI: Production Instructor (P/T 18.5 hrs per week) HMP Isle of Wight
The job holder manages prisoner workshops to provide structured work experience that mirrors outside employment while maintaining security and discipline. Responsibilities include training prisoners in health and safety, tool usage, and work tasks, as well as supervising behavior, productivity, and attendance. The role requires maintaining communication via radio networks, logging hours, and contributing to prisoner progress reports and risk assessments. Work is carried out within a prison establishment, involving direct daily interaction with prisoners.
