Planning Training Lead
The Planning Training Lead develops, coordinates, and delivers training on trees, woodlands, and forestry within the planning system. The role supports colleagues, planning authorities, and partners to improve planning knowledge, confidence, and advice consistency. Working closely with forestry and policy teams across government, the post holder helps advance government planning reforms and woodland protection. Responsibilities include assessing training needs, designing accessible learning programmes, and managing digital learning resources.

- Experience developing and delivering training programmes
- Knowledge of the planning system and environmental policy
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification in planning, environmental management, forestry, communications or related
- City & Guilds 6502 Award in Education and Training or 6302 PTLLS
- Technical assessor qualifications such as D32/33, A1, CAVA
