PoliceAI: Senior AI Engineer
You will lead hands-on engineering across artificial intelligence product development and support testing, evaluation, verification and validation for PoliceAI, a national center for artificial intelligence in policing. Working with end users, product owners, and data science teams, you will translate policing needs into secure, scalable technical solutions and reusable testing tools. You will own complex engineering delivery, remain hands-on in code, and coach other engineers to support trusted artificial intelligence adoption across policing. The role operates within a multidisciplinary team to shape the future of policing technology and public service impact.

- Leading end-to-end delivery of complex AI or machine learning solutions
- Strong technical expertise in Python, AI/ML frameworks and MLOps
- Experience developing testing, evaluation or assurance tooling for AI
- Designing and operating AI services, data pipelines and APIs in cloud
- Providing technical leadership and communicating decisions to stakeholders
Nationality requirements
You must have the Right to Work in the UK with indefinite leave to remain and provide a UK address history for the preceding 5 years.
Selection process
Interviews are anticipated on 5th and 6th November 2026 via Microsoft Teams, including a presentation and coding exercise.
