Policy Adviser - Defined Contribution Pensions
This role involves shaping and driving reform of the UK pensions system, including supporting the independent Pensions Commission and advising ministers on policy changes. You will work closely with colleagues across HM Treasury, the Department for Work and Pensions, and HM Revenue and Customs to develop proposals and handle spending control for arm's length bodies. Day to day, you will analyse information, present ideas to senior officials and ministers, and collaborate with press and parliamentary teams. The position requires building effective stakeholder relationships and working flexibly across various policy projects as priorities change.

Nationality requirements
Open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with work rights, EU/EEA/Swiss nationals with EUSS status, and qualifying Turkish nationals.
Selection process
Shortlisting will take place in the week commencing 19 October 2026. Interviews will be held in the week commencing 2 November 2026.
