Policy Adviser - Office for Budget Responsibility
This role leads HM Treasury's strategic sponsorship of the Office for Budget Responsibility, acting as the departmental expert on its remit and legislation. The postholder will provide high-quality advice to Ministers and senior officials on sensitive issues, lead budget oversight, and coordinate cross-cutting fiscal event and forecast processes. Working closely with internal teams and external counterparts, the successful candidate will manage varied workloads and help drive effective collaboration at the heart of government finance.

Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with relevant settled status or right to work.
Selection process
Shortlisting during the week commencing 2nd November 2026. Interviews will take place during the week commencing 16th November 2026.
