Portfolio Manager
The portfolio manager works within the Change Directorate at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to oversee significant change initiatives and deliver departmental objectives. The role involves strengthening portfolio governance, tracking interdependencies, managing risks, and providing actionable insights and reports to senior boards. The post holder collaborates with stakeholders across the department and its arms-length bodies to support efficient resource allocation and effective project delivery. Additionally, the role includes line management responsibilities for a team of senior and higher executive officers.

- Practical experience of assurance, budgeting, and cost management

- PRINCE2 Practitioner

- Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner / Advanced Practitioner
- Management of Risk Practitioner
Nationality requirements
The job is broadly open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with right to work, EUSS status holders, and Turkish Ankara Agreement workers.
Selection process
Sifting is likely to occur w/c 2nd November with interviews likely w/c 16th November. Interviews will be conducted face to face or by video.
