Research Assistant - Forest Ecology
This role involves supporting forest ecology research projects through a mix of field, laboratory, and office-based activities. The post-holder will collect environmental and biological data, process ecological samples, and help prepare scientific reports and funding applications. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team at Forest Research, the candidate will receive guidance from senior scientific staff and researchers.
What they're looking for
- Undergraduate degree in ecology, environmental, forest, physical or biological sciences
- Experience in ecology fieldwork, ecological sampling, and physical variable measurement
- Excellent organisational, sample and data handling, and record keeping skills
- Experience in good laboratory practice including microscopes and health and safety
- Full current driving licence enabling driving in the UK
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or similar relevant qualification in ecology or related sciences
- Full current driving licence

Open to UK, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth, EU/EEA/Swiss, and Turkish nationals with relevant status.
