Research Assistant
This role involves conducting and assisting with research and educational projects focused on infection prevention, antimicrobial use, and intervention development. The post holder will work within a small research team to develop protocols, apply qualitative and quantitative research methods, and create educational resources for healthcare professionals and the public. Day-to-day tasks include managing databases, conducting literature reviews, writing reports, and preparing papers for peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidate will collaborate with various external partners and healthcare settings to support efforts against antimicrobial resistance.

- Educated to MSc or degree standard in relevant scientific or research disciplines
- Research and IT skills in qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies
- Self-motivated with meticulous time management and prioritisation skills
- Professional or research experience in public health, education, or science
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both in teams and independently
Qualifications
- MSc degree or degree standard level in microbiological sciences, public health and/or research
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU, EUSS-status, and Turkish nationals with the right to work.
Selection process
