SC: Managing Chaplain
This is a management job which provides leadership and facilitates religious and pastoral care to prisoners and staff within a prison establishment. The post holder leads and manages a multi-faith and belief chaplaincy team, ensuring chaplains are available and accessible while overseeing administrative tasks, complaints, and staff development. Responsibilities also include providing direct pastoral care, arranging worship and meditation services, and working closely with safety and resettlement teams. Additionally, the role involves managing budgets, local policies, and building relationships with external support and volunteer groups.
