You will use your science and engineering expertise to support government policy development, decision-making, and complex problem-solving across various departments over a three-year leadership programme. Working alongside experts in government, academia, and industry, you will analyse data, manage research projects, and help shape evidence-based legislation and regulations. Your role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address major challenges like climate change, artificial intelligence, and public health risks. The scheme develops your leadership potential and prepares you for a permanent career tackling strategic issues across the Civil Service.

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree at 2:1 or higher in any subject, including degree apprenticeships
- Postgraduate degree in a science or engineering discipline
- Chartered engineer or scientist registered with a professional institution
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU, and Turkish nationals with the appropriate right to work or EUSS status.
