Senior Data Scientist
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will develop robust analytical data sources and create tools to help synthesise health and safety data. You will design and refine Natural Language Processing applications while working closely with technical and regulatory specialists. Your work will generate and enhance evidence to support key decisions across a wide range of industry sectors. Additionally, you will present findings to decision-makers and contribute to the overall data analysis strategy.
What they're looking for
- Extensive knowledge of Python and Python text analysis libraries
- Experience in machine learning, AI workflows, and LLM frameworks
- Previous experience as a text analyst or data scientist
- Experience leading a project team
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Qualifications
- First or second class honours degree in a numerate discipline, computer science or IT
- Higher degree such as an MSc or PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Physics
- Extensive experience working in a data science field

Open to UK, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth, EU, and Turkish nationals with relevant rights to work.
Selection process
Sift takes place week commencing 26th October 2026. Interviews will take place week commencing 9th November and will be held in person.
