Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Database)
This Senior Infrastructure Engineer role involves delivering, supporting, and evolving database platforms with a focus on Oracle and MongoDB technologies. Working within an agile team at Companies House, you will manage database configurations, security, performance tuning, upgrades, and incident resolution across cloud and modern environments. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the digital infrastructure team to ensure services remain secure, resilient, and highly available. The position also includes participating in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 operational cover once fully trained.
What they're looking for
- Strong experience administering and supporting Oracle Database 19c
- Experience working with Oracle Active Data Guard and high availability
- Good working knowledge of AWS Cloud services and database workloads
- Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas, Ansible, and Unix/Linux administration

Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with appropriate rights or EUSS status.
Selection process
Sifting takes place in the week commencing 5th October 2026. Interviews will be held virtually using Microsoft Teams in the week commencing 19th October 2026.
