Senior Lawyer, New Towns and Memorials Team, MHCLG Legal Advisers
You will provide expert legal advice and support on high-profile government priorities including the New Towns programme and major national memorials like the Holocaust Memorial and Grenfell Tower Memorial. Working closely with ministers, senior policy officials, and delivery teams, you will manage complex legal workstreams spanning public law, planning law, commercial issues, and government grants. You will also line manage junior colleagues, lead a small team, and contribute to the broader corporate and cultural life of the legal directorate. The role requires delivering timely, risk-based advice at pace while building strong stakeholder relationships across government.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2:1 honours degree in any subject
- Qualified as a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU/EEA and Swiss nationals with settled status, and Turkish nationals under the Ankara Agreement.
