Software and AI Specialist
This role involves leading and contributing to policy development, technical reviews, and regulatory frameworks for software and artificial intelligence in healthcare. The postholder collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, international partners, industry experts, and senior officials to shape the United Kingdom's approach to artificial intelligence governance. Responsibilities include assessing complex evidence, producing clear guidance and reports, and managing programmes of work to ensure medical devices meet high standards of safety and performance. The position plays a vital part in protecting public health and supporting innovative healthcare technologies within the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.

Nationality requirements

Selection process
Sifting takes place the week commencing 7th October 2026. Main panel interviews are held the week commencing 12th October 2026.
