SPI Woodwork- Wood- Machinist - HMP Long Lartin
The post holder will teach traditional and modern woodworking techniques to prisoners while supervising workshop safety and maintaining equipment. They will use their practical knowledge of timber, machinery, and technical drawings to manage production and ensure high standards of work. The role involves developing prisoners' practical skills and confidence through structured training and meaningful work activities. Additionally, the worker must manage workshop risks and ensure adherence to all HMPPS policies and safe systems of work.
