Sustainability and Utilities Officer
You will manage utility bills, property data, and cost allocations for Defra and Environment Agency properties as part of the Property Sustainability and Energy team. Your day-to-day work involves processing around three million pounds of energy invoices each month, updating property databases, and driving process efficiencies using artificial intelligence tools. You will also help report performance against government sustainability targets and support wider energy efficiency projects. You will work closely with an immediate team of colleagues and report to the Chief Sustainability Officer's department.

- Experience in data management and interpretation
- Proficiency in Excel, Power-BI, or similar tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing large data sets
Nationality requirements
This job is broadly open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with work rights, EU/EEA/Swiss/Icelandic/Liechtenstein nationals with EUSS status, and qualifying Turkish nationals.
Selection process
Sifting will take place on 5th and 6th November. Interviews are currently scheduled to take place during the week commencing 16th November.
