Verification Assurance Officer - Central
The Verification Assurance Officer works within Jobcentres and Service Centres to help prevent fraud and error in the welfare system. The role involves conducting face-to-face interviews with claimants to verify information regarding identity, housing costs, and childcare, as well as educating customers on their responsibilities. Post holders collaborate closely with Jobcentre colleagues and specialist risk teams, sharing insights on fraud trends and patterns. Due to the requirement for face-to-face claimant interviews and team integration, this role must be carried out entirely on-site from a Jobcentre location.
