Verification Assurance Officer - Scotland
Verification Assurance Officers work directly in Jobcentres and Service Centres to prevent welfare fraud on the frontline. They conduct robust face-to-face interviews with claimants to verify identity, housing costs, and childcare claims, while educating customers on their responsibilities. Post holders collaborate closely with Jobcentre colleagues and specialist teams, feeding back on fraud trends and patterns. Due to the nature of the work, this role must be carried out fully on-site from a Jobcentre location.
