Visiting Aircraft Support Section (VASS) - Handler
This role involves carrying out pre- and post-flight aircraft ground handling procedures for military and civilian aircraft. The post holder will assist aircrew with flight preparation and recovery, including refuelling, towing visiting aircraft, and de-icing. Working as part of a team at RAF Lossiemouth, the handler must be flexible to support unpredictable aircraft operations outside of routine hours and participate in an on-call rota. The position requires maintaining stringent aviation engineering and health and safety standards while promoting foreign object debris awareness.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prepared to work out-of-hours, weekends, and on-call
- Must complete aircraft towing training
Qualifications
- Full clean UK driving licence to include DVLA Cat D1
