Biomedical Scientist Practitioner / Healthcare Scientist Practitioner
This role involves processing and analyzing microbiological specimens in a high-security reference laboratory. The postholder will perform DNA-based detection, whole genome sequencing, and standard testing on foodborne and clinical bacterial pathogens. Working closely with senior scientists and reference services, the practitioner ensures safe laboratory operations and contributes to public health investigations.

- BSc in Microbiology or relevant biological science
- Experience in a microbiology lab at containment level 2
- Proficiency in phenotypic and molecular methods
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles
- Good judgement, problem-solving and analytical skills
