Commercial Vehicle Examiner (Enforcement) - National
Commercial Vehicle Examiners help keep Britain’s roads safe by inspecting commercial vehicles, identifying safety defects, and taking appropriate enforcement action. You will carry out roadside checks with partner agencies, prepare clear reports, and provide technical advice to drivers and operators. This is a public-facing role where you will also analyse data, respond to technical queries, and act as an ambassador for road safety. You will work closely with colleagues and partner agencies within a professional enforcement team, receiving full training to develop your technical expertise.

Qualifications
- Full and current car driving licence
- Level 3 vocational qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- IMI ATA registration at diagnostic technician level
- IRTEC registration at advanced technician level
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU/EEA, and Turkish nationals with the appropriate right to work.
Selection process
Qualification sift takes place 13-19 October 2026. In-person interviews take place 2-13 November 2026.
