Data Manager (Laboratory Informatics)
The Data Manager leads the development and management of laboratory information systems within the UK Health Security Agency, supporting epidemiological and pathogen genomics data. Working within the Bioinformatics team of the Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections Division, the postholder designs and queries databases, integrates whole genome sequencing data, and advises staff on data handling. They collaborate closely with laboratory management, IT colleagues, and reference units to ensure safe and effective service delivery.

- Master of Science or equivalent experience in a data field
- Expertise in designing, building, and querying databases
- Experience identifying IT requirements of a business function
- Excellent IT and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team
Qualifications
- MSc in Life Sciences, Computer Science or equivalent
