You will lead the Arts Team as maternity cover, acting as part of the wider Culture Directorate senior management team and directing around 20 staff. You will build strong relationships across the arts sector to represent its interests in government and manage senior sponsorship of Arts Council England. Your day will involve developing arts policy and funding models, overseeing governance and budgets, and collaborating with other departments on education and skills.
