Detention Engagement Officer - Derwentside
As a Detention Engagement Officer at Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre, you will work directly with detained residents to help them understand their immigration case progression and the steps required towards its conclusion. You will build professional relationships, provide clear information, and support residents' welfare needs while collaborating with caseworking teams, healthcare providers, and other partners. The role requires you to communicate sensitively with individuals who may be experiencing distress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a safe and secure environment. You will receive full training and work as part of a supportive team where no two days are the same.
