Field Intelligence Officer
This role supports criminal and regulatory investigations to ensure the Building Safety Regulator fulfils its statutory duties under the Building Safety Act 2022. The postholder receives, assesses, and processes intelligence to evaluate threat, risk, and harm while maintaining strict data governance. Day-to-day tasks include producing intelligence products, conducting focused research, and building professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with colleagues, the successful candidate ensures all intelligence is handled legally and accurately recorded on case management systems.

- Experience in a technical intelligence role within law enforcement or regulation
- Understanding of information legislation like Data Protection Act and GDPR
- Knowledge of the National Intelligence Model and the intelligence cycle
- Familiarity with digital tools used for intelligence support
- Strong communication skills and ability to build professional relationships
Qualifications
- Intelligence Professionalisation Programme accreditation or ability to obtain within 18 months
Nationality requirements
Must have 3 years continuous UK residency and Home Office approval for indefinite leave to remain.
Selection process
Sift takes place week commencing 5th October 2026. Interviews take place week commencing 12th October 2026 and include a presentation.
