Financial Controller
The Financial Controller manages financial control and reporting for the Gambling Commission, ensuring compliance with Managing Public Money and overseeing the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts. They lead the financial accounting team and treasury management, handle external audit liaison, and act as the Counter Fraud lead. Working closely with the Head of Finance and key stakeholders, they maintain strong financial systems and controls to support accurate decision-making.

- Qualified accountant with public sector and government accounting experience
- Proven delivery of year-end accounts and external audit management
- Ability to review and improve financial business processes
- Experience managing, coaching, and developing staff to build high performance
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Selection process
Interviews are expected week commencing 12th October 2026 and will consist of an in-person interview with competency and technical questions.
