Future Prison Leaders Programme - External
You will fast-track your way from a frontline prison officer to a senior leader running your own prison department in just three years. The role involves working closely with prisoners and colleagues to maintain security, rehabilitate individuals, and manage teams through challenging situations. You will progress through hands-on operational placements, including managing a team of prison officers and taking responsibility for whole prison functions. The programme provides extensive training, mentoring, and support to build your skills as a modern custodial leader.

Qualifications
- Degree or RQF Level 6 qualification or higher, or people management experience
Nationality requirements
This job is broadly open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with the right to work.
Selection process
Successful applicants will start the programme in September 2027. The process includes online tests, a virtual written assessment, and a face-to-face assessment centre.
