This role involves leading a team of psychometricians responsible for quantitative analysis, trialling, and standards maintenance for large-scale national curriculum assessments. You will apply advanced item response theory and statistical techniques to support test development, ensure data quality, and contribute to validity and fairness evidence. The post-holder works closely with internal colleagues across the Standards and Testing Agency, the wider department, and external partners and suppliers to deliver key ministerial priorities. You will also manage and develop technical experts while collaborating on digital and paper-based assessment projects.
