Prison Officer - HMP Bedford
Prison officers protect the public, help rehabilitate prisoners, and maintain a safe, secure environment within a prison. Day to day, staff act as peacekeepers, mentors, and problem solvers, building positive professional relationships with offenders from diverse backgrounds. Officers work as part of a close-knit team to manage daily routines, supervise activities, and respond to challenging situations. The role requires working various shift patterns, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
