Senior Analytics Engineer
As a Senior Analytics Engineer at the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, you will lead the design, development, and support of reusable analytical data products and transformation pipelines. Working collaboratively with business users, analysts, data scientists, and data engineers, you will translate complex business needs into trusted, secure, and maintainable data assets. Your day-to-day work enables critical reporting, analysis, and decision-making across the organization to support maritime safety policy. You will profile source systems, build data models, and ensure all analytical solutions meet rigorous quality and version-control standards.

- Experience building analytical data models using SQL and Python or PySpark
- Expertise in data profiling, source analysis, and dimensional modelling
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear data requirements
- Experience with automated testing, data quality controls, and documentation
