Senior Audit Manager
The Senior Audit Manager leads and manages a portfolio of internal audit delivery within the Government Internal Audit Agency, working closely with group chief internal auditors and senior client stakeholders. The role involves directing individual audit engagements from planning to reporting, ensuring high quality, managing people and resources in a matrix model, and acting as the head of internal audit for arm's length bodies. The postholder builds strategic client relationships, drives continuous improvement and professional development, and delivers impactful insights on governance and risk management across government.

Qualifications
- Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors CMIIA or MIIA designation
- Current membership of one of five CCAB bodies ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAS, CIMA
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with relevant right to work or EUSS status.
Selection process
Shortlisting begins week commencing 16 November 2026 and interviews are held from 23 November 2026 via Microsoft Teams with a short presentation.
