Senior Health Protection Practitioner
The Senior Health Protection Practitioner plays a vital role in managing acute service responses and dealing with infectious and non-infectious environmental hazards. The post holder handles a caseload, provides clinical advice, and works collaboratively with external organisations and multi-disciplinary teams to improve public health. They also contribute to strategic locality work and assist during emergency planning incidents. Working within the UK Health Security Agency, the role supports regional health protection services and helps drive system-wide priorities.

- Master's degree in Public Health or related discipline
- Registration with a professional body or current NMC registration
- Experience in a senior health protection role managing outbreaks
- Specialist knowledge of health protection and epidemiology
- Proven leadership, line management and staff development skills
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or a related discipline
- NMC registration or appropriate health/science body registration
- Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) part of the NMC Register

Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with relevant work rights or settled/pre-settled status.
Selection process
Interviews will be held face to face at Horsham or Ashford, Kent, with a presentation required.
