Traffic Examiner
Traffic Examiners work outdoors and on-site to carry out roadside vehicle checks, inspect heavy goods vehicles, and ensure compliance with road safety regulations. They investigate infringements, analyse tachograph records, prepare case papers for prosecution, and provide advice and guidance to drivers. Team members collaborate with colleagues, handle challenging public interactions, and ensure high standards of health and safety across various locations.

Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence

Selection process
Sift takes place on 20 October 2026. Interviews and written exercises take place between 4 and 20 November 2026 in person at a DVSA office.
