Junior Developer
As a Junior Developer at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, you will build and improve digital services used by citizens, local authorities, and colleagues. Working within a multidisciplinary team in Manchester, you will develop and maintain high-quality software while learning from experienced developers through pair programming and automated testing. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and user researchers to understand user needs and deliver reliable digital solutions. The role gives you the opportunity to put your technical skills into practice and develop your digital career in a central government technology function.

Selection process
Sifting is envisaged to take place the week commencing 12th October 2026. Interviews will be held in November in Manchester and will be in person.
