Specialist Advisor - Drug and Alcohol Services
Experienced clinical professionals provide expert advice and professional judgement to support the Care Quality Commission in regulating and assessing drug and alcohol treatment services across England. You will work alongside inspectors and multidisciplinary teams to review evidence, observe clinical practice, and contribute to fair, evidence-based regulatory decisions. This flexible role complements your existing practice, involving ad hoc support for assessments and inspections throughout the year. Travel to provider locations and occasional overnight stays are required.

- Extensive clinical experience within drug and alcohol services
- Current practice within drug and alcohol treatment services
- Expert knowledge of evidence-based interventions for substance use
- Ability to analyse evidence and provide objective professional judgements
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills
