Trainee Legal Adviser - North East
Trainee legal advisers work within HM Courts and Tribunals Service to support the administration of criminal, civil, and family courts. They learn to provide magistrates with impartial legal advice on points of law, practice, and procedure while assisting with the drafting of judgment reasons. Post-holders manage court hearings, collaborate with external agencies, and develop their professional legal careers through a structured two-year training programme.

Qualifications
- Legal Practice Course (LPC) or SQE1 and SQE2
- Bar Training Course or equivalent
- CILEx Level 3 and Level 6 Diplomas in Law and Practice
- CILEx Graduate Fast Track Diploma
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with relevant right to work or EUSS status.
Selection process
Interviews are scheduled to take place from 9 November to 4 December 2026.
