Trainee Legal Adviser - South East
Trainee legal advisers provide impartial legal advice to magistrates on points of law, practice and procedure, and assist with drafting reasons for judgments. You will work within courts across the South East region, helping to manage cases and liaise with outside agencies involved in specialist court work. Supported by a mentor, you will complete an intensive training programme designed to build your courtroom skills and legal knowledge. Once qualified, you will act as the professional face of the court, ensuring fair and efficient justice.

- Passed academic stage for solicitor, barrister, or CILEX
- Excellent communicator with self-assurance to speak in court
- Resilient, calm under pressure, and diplomatic approach
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on feet
Qualifications
- Legal Practice Course (LPC) or SQE1 and SQE2
- Bar Training Course or equivalent
- CILEx Level 3 and Level 6 Diplomas in Law and Practice
- CILEx Graduate Fast Track Diploma
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU, and Turkish nationals with the right to work.
