Universal Credit Job Centre - Work Coach - East and Central Scotland
Work coaches play a vital role in helping individuals and families move towards financial independence through work and claim necessary support. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing advice on job searches, managing a caseload, building positive relationships with customers, and making timely decisions based on individual needs. Work coaches interact face to face, digitally, and over the phone with customers, employers, and colleagues on-site in Department for Work and Pensions offices.

- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand complex information and give clear explanations
- Navigate computer systems and coach customers on digital tools
- Handle telephony queries and manage difficult situations calmly
- Work on site in a fast-paced, busy environment
Nationality requirements
This job is broadly open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with the right to work, and certain EU, Swiss, Norwegian, Icelandic, or Lichtenstein nationals with settled or pre-settled status under the EUSS.
Selection process
Candidates must complete an online Situational Judgement Test following application submission. Successful candidates will be invited to a face-to-face interview held in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
