Youth Justice Worker Returners Scheme
This role involves working as a youth justice worker to support former colleagues in keeping prisons and the public safe. You will manage and supervise young people in custody while covering various shift patterns including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Former youth justice workers return to support youth offender institutions and help maintain security and order. You will work closely with other prison staff to provide a safe and rehabilitative environment for children and young people.
What they're looking for
- Left HMPPS within the last 5 years
- Previously worked as a youth justice worker at band 3 or 4
- Completed foundation training and full probation period
- Pass a medical and fitness assessment
Nationality requirements
This job is broadly open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with the right to work, EUSS status holders, and Turkish workers.
